Christmas /New Years
Well Christmas has come and gone. We had a nice Christmas and New Years, but it was very busy. Traveling back and forth to the river got pretty tiring, but it was great to catch up with some people that we haven't seen for a while, especially those from Queensland. One of the best new additions to the campsite was the solar powered exhaust fan in the bush toilet.. None of the smell you usually get.
New Years was spent close to home as it has been over the past few years. It was another great night, the kids pushed themselves to midnight.
Here is a couple of vids from the river.

Camping Time
Camping around Christmas at Torrumbarry has been tradition for me since I started going out with my now wife. Torrumbarry is located on the Murray River, about 3hours North of Melbourne. My wife grew up there until she was about 11. Each year we seem to get there earlier to get 'Our' spot. But it has been a blessing in disguise as it is a lot quieter. After Christmas it gets busy on the water And that makes teaching little kids a bit hairy

Ban on Summer Weddings
Oh I know it isn't technically Summer, but Summer weddings need to be banned. Us poor blokes suffer in the heat. Even though it wasn't overly hot according to the BOM, it felt like it was 50 in the suit and out in the sun. All in all, it was a great night and very relaxed. I haven't seen that much food at a wedding, it was great.

Camps Over
Busy few weeks
I have been on two school camps, one to Anglesea and one to Maldon. Both pretty good camps, but the grade 5 one to Anglesea was great, especially when we went surfing. The kids didn't like the 7km walk into Anglesea though.
Add to this, my wife had a school grade 2 sleep over.

Hopeless
I'm hopeless at finishing these blogs off. Just looked at Europe 2012 and only got through half the trip, then same with Singapore and QLD last year for my birthday. I am going to try a bit harder.

Singapore
Well after a nice relax in qantas club it was onto the plane to Singapore. Got held up a bit as they had to change a tyre. But apart from that it was one of the smoothest flights I've been on. Landed at Changi airport and u are soon reminded of how much Australia public transport sucks, well at least Melbourne. In little time at all we were at the Park Royal.
The Singapore F1 Grand Prix was an experience. The combination of being at night and in the middle of the city gave it a great atmosphere.
It was the first time I had been to Singapore for 5 years, but the progress was amazing. The Marina Bay area wasn't there last time I went, and it was a sight to behold.
